How It All Works
1) Make an Initial Appointment:
Initial appointment may involve gathering background information, some history, start collecting information about collaborators (family, school, medical, etc), reason for assessment in more detail, and possibly start initiating screening assessments if appropriate. This appointment may be around 1 hour.
2) Complete Intake Paperwork and Book Follow-up Appointment:
Following the initial consultation, you'll receive comprehensive intake paperwork, including a detailed background questionnaire and necessary releases of information.
Once you've completed the paperwork, we'll schedule your follow-up assessment sessions.
3) Parent and/or Screening Days:
Depending on the specific assessment, this stage may involve parent interviews, screening assessments, or further collaboration with other professionals involved in your care.
4) Assessment/Testing Days:
These sessions are focused on direct assessment and testing with the client.
To ensure comfort and optimal performance, testing may be broken down into multiple sessions, depending on the client's age, abilities, and tolerance.
5) Collaboration and Data Collection in the middle
This crucial phase often occurs "behind the scenes" and involves the psychologist’s in-depth collaboration with others and data collection.
Additional appointments or meetings may be scheduled during this time to gather comprehensive information.
6) Collecting Information:
Dr. Gray will carefully analyze and integrate all the collected information.
A detailed report will be prepared, including test scores, interpretation of results, and individualized recommendations, resources, and referrals.
7) Feedback Appointment:
You'll meet with the psychologist to review the assessment results in detail.
This session provides an opportunity to ask questions and discuss options and next steps.
Follow-Up Support:
We encourage scheduling a brief, no-cost follow-up appointment approximately one month after the feedback session. This check-in allows us to answer any further questions and ensure that recommendations are being implemented effectively.
Additional follow-up sessions can be scheduled as needed, and any associated fees and service details will be discussed.
